Our Story

We are six Venezuelans who have made Norway our home and are now proud Norwegian citizens, united by a shared commitment to democratic values, freedom, and human rights. We come from different regions of Venezuela and left our country years ago in search of safety, dignity, and opportunities amid a prolonged political and economic crisis.

Despite the distance, we are deeply connected by a common hope: the reconstruction of Venezuela. Over the years, each of us has participated in local initiatives in Norway aimed at promoting Venezuelan culture, raising awareness, and creating spaces for dialogue about our country.

Today, we choose to take a more active stand for democracy in Venezuela. We believe that participating in local debates, cultural arenas, and civic spaces in Norway can help increase awareness of the severe and ongoing violations of basic human rights faced daily by Venezuelans.

We were deeply moved and inspired by the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony held in Oslo in December 2025, which recognized the leadership of María Corina Machado and the broader democratic movement in Venezuela. This moment strengthened our hope and reaffirmed our conviction that change is possible. Venezuelans deserve a future rooted in freedom, justice, and dignity. Enough is enough.

We are proud to be Venezuelan-Norwegians. We honor our roots while actively contributing to Norwegian society. Our lives are built between two cultures, and our hearts beat to both rhythms—always looking forward, without ever forgetting where we come from.
